CAMBODIAn CITIZENSHIP BY INVESTMENT

As the only citizenship by investment (CBI) program in Asia, Cambodian passports are valued for their utility above all else.

Cambodia is part of the dynamic ASEAN region. This makes its passport especially unique by giving its holders visa-free access to every country in Southeast Asia.

Furthermore, Cambodian citizens gain local access to one of the world’s fastest-growing economies.  You’re able to buy property, do business, and bank on the same terms as a local citizen.

Become Part of Cambodia’s Growth Story

Cambodia’s economy is less correlated with the rest of the world. They’ve avoided almost every recession in the past three decades.

Skipping the Asian Financial Crisis of the 1990s, the tech bubble in the early 2000s along with the 2008 Global Recession, Cambodia has proven its resilience over a long period of time.

Southeast Asia’s Final Frontier

Located in the heart of Southeast Asia, Cambodia has over 4 billion people on its doorstep.

Frontier markets have the potential for strong growth, but often need a catalyst to start it off. Cambodia benefits from its robust tourism sector – something very few other frontier markets have.

Home to Angkor Wat, the world’s largest temple, Cambodia receives millions of international tourists annually.

Can the Amount Be An Investment, Or Does it Have to Be a Donation?

Technically, there is an investment option available but it must be made in an actively-run industrial business in a special designated zone. It must also be registered as a qualified investment project (QIP) and the minium amount is approximately US$1,000,00.

Because of the additional expense and complications, few applicants actually choose the investment route. The donation option remains by far the most popular way to get citizenship in Cambodia.
